I began my Karate Journey around April 2008. I wanted to try Ballerina classes but my parents couldn’t afford it. My mother wanted me to learn to protect my self because I am very shy. With all the bulling going around my school and since Karate classes were more affordable they registered me to try it. I was surprised how fast I got the hang of it. It was so much fun.
I tried Soccer for the first time around January 2012. You can go HERE to learn more about it.
I did Karate for around 2 years back in Maryland where we used to live. It was a lot of fun and apparently I was good at it because on my first competition I won 6 trophies and 2 metals. I also learned some numbers and words in Japanese language.
Here I am with my first Sensei. Working hard on my push ups. My mom loved the way he used to teach me. I was learning a lot.
After we moved to Florida in 2010, I got into a Karate class very closed from where I live but my new Sensei wanted me to do push up with my knees touching the floor. She said that’s the way girls do it. My mom didn’t liked that and never took me back again.
Here I am about to brake some wood.
Working hard on my abdominals and karate punches. One of the fun part it is that would get to scream “kiai” every single time you where to do a Karate move.
So happy when I received my first trophy.
This is my reaction when they called my name for the 5th category and gave me another trophy.
Here with my 6th and last category trophy. I liked it a lot. It was a great experience but I love soccer more. In HERE you can read my soccer journey.
